Features 1.1    Will AnimalShelterNet update our animals on-line? Yes. The AnimalShelterNet system automatically updates in real-time the on-line visibility of stray and adoptable animals. The online search pages of stray and adoptable animals can be reached from a link on your existing website. If your organization does not have a website the search page itself can be used as your homepage. Your organizations logo, name, and information is included on these pages. The system also has built-in integration with Petfinder.com to automatically update your on-line animals. 1.2    Our organization provides services for several different municipalites. Will we be able to generate reports for the services performed for each municipality? Yes. The system can be used to track all animal intake transactions, license purchases, and animal control reports by municipality. 1.3    Are you able to add a feature to the program specifically for my requirements? Custom enhancements to tailor the application to an organizations precise requirements are available. These vary from simple changes such as incorporating logo graphics onto pages and reports, to more major issues such as integrating with other applications. That depends. An estimate for the feasibility as well as the cost of data migration can usually only be estimated after a sample of the data has been provided. 2.2    Is AnimalShelterNet data exportable to other applications? Yes. Many of the built-in reports have features that allow export for e-mail or mail merges. Simple copy and paste commands to other applications like Microsoft Word and Excel are also easy to perform. Access to your data is also available through ODBC compliant reporting tools like Crystal Reports. Software support is just that- all the help we can give you to support the successful utilization of your computer system with our software program. Many times this means talking you through procedures or setups within our program or within your own operating environment. AnimalShelterNet is a highly vertical (or specialized) application that not everyone will know enough about to service every aspect of. Your IT staff or local computer person is your first responder to general issues and routine support of your infrastructure. We're your first responder when it comes to issues related specifically to AnimalShelterNet. How can we use the system to...? Working together, AnimalShelterNet and your computer staff should be able to get you through any eventuality. 3.2    How long do support packages last? Support packages last for one year starting from the date of purchase. Support packages renew annually until cancelled by the customer or by AnimalShelterNet. 3.3    Can I upgrade support packages anytime? Yes. To upgrade, you pay the difference between your old and new support levels based on the number of months remaining on your original package. Whenever you renew an annual support package, you may change your support level up or down as well. back to top   Software Assurance 4.1    Why is software assurance required for updates? Software assurance makes sure your software is up to date, allowing you to take advantage of new features and improvements in the software as they become available. Almost as importantly, it gives you a voice to the developers enabling them to shape the software towards the majority of peoples needs. All software has a useful lifetime. Just as Office XP will not run on Windows 98, software assurance protects your software investment into the future. back to top   Training 5.1    How long does it take to learn AnimalShelterNet? Most of our employees are computer novices, will they be able to handle this program? Most customers find that they can be using AnimalShelterNet within an hour or less. The program comes with an informative, easy to read, built-in manual (use the F1 key); however most people find the AnimalShelterNet interface to be so intuitive and easy to use, that reading the manual is optional (we do recommend that you read it). Also the CD has a copy of the manual in PDF format that allows you to print additional copies if you so desire.
